Sukute Beach Location Route
Sindhupalchok, and therefore Sukute Beach, lies in the northern central part of the country. There’s only one best way to get to Sukute Beach: by road. It is always better to have maps on your mobile phone and follow them. However, if you are familiar with most of the places and just want to know the location, you’re in the right place.
Most people will be traveling through or from Kathmandu. If you travel via Araniko Highway, you’ll get to Sukute as there are many hoarding boards along the way showing Sukute Beach.
Kathmandu (Koteshwor) to Dhulikhel
- Distance: 26.3 Kilometers
- Time: About 58 Minutes
You can start your journey from Koteshwor, near Tribhuvan International Airport, and go towards Bhaktapur. Continue on the same road until you reach Dhulikhel, then take a left from the Dhulikhel Police Checkpoint towards Panchkhal. To ensure you’re on the right path, it is always better to ask someone near Dhulikhel, as people in Dhulikhel are very hospitable. Dhulikhel is also the headquarters of the Kavrepalanchok District.
Dhulikhel to Zero Kilo
- Distance: 17.1 Kilometers
- Time: About 41 Minutes
Once you take the left towards Zero Kilo, follow the same road until Zero Kilo. You don’t need to ask anybody as this is the main road of the Araniko Highway. Once you get to Zero Kilo, there are two roads of almost equal width, and you must go right. As mentioned earlier, you can ask any bystander or shopkeeper to ensure you’re following the correct way.
Zero Kilo to Dolalghat
- Distance: 9.9 Kilometers
- Time: About 15 Minutes
Once you head towards the right side road from Zero Kilo, travel the same road until you get to Dolalghat. If you want to experience the famous fish of Dolalghat, you can always take a short break and have the delicious local fish cuisine on the bank of the Indrawati River. Dolalghat is the meeting point of the Indrawati and Bhotekoshi Rivers, and Dolalghat Bazaar lies on the bank of the Indrawati River.
This is also part of the Araniko Highway, so if you have traveled before on the Araniko Highway, you can continue your journey.
Dolalghat to Sukute
- Distance: 12.6 Kilometers
- Time: About 18 Minutes
Once you reach Dolalghat, continue on the same road until you get to Bandeu. After a 5-minute drive (2.2 KMs) from Dolalghat, you’ll reach a roundabout with two roads of almost equal width. Take the right turn. There is also a police checkpoint, and they may ask you a few questions. Ensure you’re on the right way if you’re not sure. You can ask the police officers, who are readily available throughout the day. The other way leads to Chautara, the headquarters of Sindhupalchok.
After taking the right turn, drive for about 15 minutes (10.3 KMs) and you can see the beautiful Bhotekoshi River flowing with a peaceful sound. During this time, you won’t miss the view of our beautiful Sukute Beach Resort between the road and the river.

About Sukute Beach Location
Sukute Beach is one of the best beaches with lots of sand on the side of the Bhotekoshi River. It was a natural beach, and during the monsoon, the beach seems to be overshadowed because of the flood in the Bhotekoshi River. In other seasons, the volume of the river decreases and the beautiful beach is available to visitors.
